Ben began working with Together in 2008 but it wasn’t until 2015 when he became co-owner, after taking over the creative direction and day-to-day management of the business.
Ben’s design background and experience is broader than most and as such the move towards creative direction was inevitable. Having studied under David Dabner and Hamish Muir as a specialist in typography and information design he began building strong relationships with freelance clients across multiple sectors. His work quickly broadened to encompass branding, digital, messaging & copywriting. After gaining experience at three independent London studios he joined Damon to build Together into one of London’s emerging agencies.
Ben’s openness to a breadth of disciplines and skill sets drives his passion to go beyond standard delivery to inspire and educate Together’s clients to use and deploy design and digital tools in effective, efficient and disruptive new ways.
Damon De Ionno
As a strategic thinker, Damon has helped a vast array of clients to innovate across a wide range of sectors and subject areas – from informing the design of new healthcare products and digital services, through to the re-imagining of brand experiences and government policies. His approach combines clear, logic-based thinking with creative flair, a passion for positive change, and the blunt honesty required to actually help deliver it.
Damon is rarely happy with how things are and is disruptive by nature – always looking for ways to make things better – whether that’s research, organisations, spaces, processes, services, products, technology or people. You’ll want him on your team if you are tackling complex issues, in need of new ideas, or require a strong, committed partner to help make change happen.
After finishing his studies Fabrizio was invited to join the development team at the Universidade Catolica de Brasilia, where he helped them implement an artificial intelligence module on a system based on Ausebel’s meaningful learning theory. Since then he has worked on projects relating to data mining and data flow which has given him a vast knowledge base of the main IT areas. Following on from this, he worked at DATAPREV, one of the biggest data centres in Brazil, and then onto CNEC in London.
Marina is an all-round creative who has a great passion for UX/UI, branding and advertising. Before moving to the UK, Marina’s seven-year experience included three years worked at the Hungarian office of multinational advertising agency Dentsu Aegis Network. During that time she worked with clients like Deutsche Telekom and Burger King.
Her experience extends to print design, social media content creation, photography and motion design. She leads on projects where our clients require a mixture of disciplines and knowledge.
Katie is our chief facilitator. She is responsible for making sure things happen when we’ve said they’ll happen and how we’ve said they’ll happen. She also makes sure everyone knows what they’re doing and what everyone else is doing.
A strange quirk of fate led to Katie joining Together after having originally applied to a different company, but it’s an irregularity we’ve been delighted with ever since.
Aside from her day-to-day responsibilities, Katie is frequently in touch with clients and her work regularly crosses over from the administrative to the creative, feeding into projects at research and idea generation phases.
Katie brings a wealth of enthusiasm, fun, and adds a perfect amount of northern charm to our team.
Jordi Vicens Farrús
Jordi is the most recent member of our team and supports Fabrizio, Jamica and Ben on the digital side of the business.
His career began in his native Spain before moving to Germany and finally the UK, picking up both languages and skills as he travelled. He has built dataset and user management tools from scratch and corporate websites with full-function CMS systems for managing content and settings for SEO.
As a junior full-stack developer he assists across the full spectrum of digital projects and products the studio produces and is the lead developer on bespoke website builds for our varied client base.
Alice is a designer working alongside Ben and Laura with a particular interest in typography and information design.
She previously worked as a managerial assistant at Kit Grover Ltd, working for clients such as Tate, MoMA and the Barbican. It was here that she developed a keen eye for typography, information design and gained an insight into the creative industry.
With a BA (Hons) Degree in Fine Art Media at The National College of Art & Design, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Design for Visual Communication at the London College of Communication, Laura is an experienced graphic designer with high-quality skills across print and multi-media design, photography, illustration and animation.
Laura previously worked as an Art Director at renowned advertising agency Leo Burnett, where she worked for clients such as Kellogs and Nivea.
Following a number of years’ experience in the advertising industry as a client service account handler on a range of top brands and clients, Katie moved into headhunting, recruitment and talent development. With experience across the whole employee journey, she’s highly adept at acquiring, retaining and developing the very best people in specialist industries.
A naturally intuitive person, Katie’s skill lies in getting to the core of what makes someone tick – using this understanding to match them to the right role, and ensuring they develop the skills which both they and the business need in order to thrive.
Nick heads up our in-house film production division. Previously, he worked for over 10 years in the media and entertainment industry, managing and delivering TV commercials, trailers, promos and behind-the-scenes documentaries.
Since joining to develop our film offer, Nick has delivered outstanding film content for a full range of our clients – including Google, Ford, BBC, Ofcom, Financial Conduct Authority, Macmillan Cancer Support and a number of local authorities. He’s also played a key role in introducing new technologies into our film portfolio – including the use of Ronin gimbals, different 360 filming & delivery mediums, and aerial footage (Nick is one of two CAA-accredited drone pilots on our team).
Working as a fully integrated part of project teams, Nick ensures that creative planning is factored in from the very start of projects and works closely with the designers to ensure we maximise continuity across mediums.
Senior production manager
Mike has worked in film and online video production for the past 7 years. Having moved from Sydney to London, he brings the experience of working closely with some of Australia’s biggest brands in both the finance and real estate industries. Over that time he’s shot on a range of different equipment ranging from the Canon 5D, Sony a7, FS7, RED cameras, as well as Ronin Gimbals and DJI drones.
Dom is a skilled camera operator and editor, with a degree from the University of Nottingham. He has contributed to films for clients including Google, Essex County Council and the Design Council. He led the introduction of Ronin gimbal footage into our work. Previous clients include Manchester United Football Club, Southwark Playhouse Theatre Company, and Southampton and Mansfield City Councils
